Product Description

Studies have shown that cinnamon extracts can increase glucose metabolism, triggering insulin release - which also affects cholesterol metabolism. Researchers speculated that cinnamon might improve both cholesterol and glucose. And it did. Who is at greatest risk for Type II diabetes? 65 years or older Overweight High Cholesterol Exercising less than 3 times a week Family History of Diabetes Ancestry: African-Americans, Asian Americans, American Indians, Pacific Islanders and Hispanic Americans Cinnamon should be a part of our daily diet whether we have, or are at risk of having, Type II Diabetes or not. However, for best effects, just a sprinkle is not enough and cinnamon in the loose powder does not assure you of getting a uniform dose. Vegan/ Vegetarian 100% Cinnamon in a Vegetable Capsule, Pure Herb Material, no fillers, grains, yeast, sugars, binders, excipients, starches or synthetic materials.

Definite impact on glucose metabolism

Reviewer: calvinnme,
I have been very satisfied with this product. I bought it because of a study done in Pakistan in which type 2 diabetics were given either 1,2, or 6 grams of cinnamon bark per day for 40 days. The end result of the study was that in all three groups, statistically significant reductions in blood glucose levels occurred, with decreases ranging from 18 to 29 percent. Interestingly, glucose levels remained significantly lower after the 20-day wash-out period (60 days from the study start) only in the group that took the lowest cinnamon dose (1 gram daily). The placebo groups showed no significant changes.

I am not diabetic (yet), but I did note a marked increase in energy and less of a need to eat between meals because of reactive hypoglycemia after taking this product for a few days. Unlike gymnema sylvestre, which has a long-lasting effect, cinnamon bark is definitely short-term, so you should take it with food so that the cinnamon has something to react with. It supposedly has an effect on LDL cholesterol too, but I have not been back for blood tests since I started taking this product, so I cannot attest to that alleged attribute.

Cinnamon rules!

Cinnamon caps have reduced my triglycerides in a month! Cinnamon capsules are the easiest way to take larger amounts of cinnamon, which is helpful in contolling insulin release. Highly recommended.
Very surprised

Just started taking it for type 2 diabetes. And physical results were pretty amazing.
Looking forward to seeing how a month affects this disease.
Worth a shot.
